Applying for a Grant
Grantseekers must submit a proposal that demonstrates a clear understanding of the need in your community and a strong programmatic response. The proposal should include the following:
- Project summary: Include a one‐page summary of your proposal, highlighting the purpose, goals, and expected impact of the initiative.
- Background Information: Provide background information about your request that supports why this grant is important.
- Statement of Need: Why is this grant needed, what problem will the grant solve?
- Goals: State the goals of the project.
- Objectives: Milestones that must occur to meet the goal
- Activities: What activities need to occur to meet the goals and objectives described.
- Timeline of Events: In a table or chart format, explain the outline of major events such as a start date, target completion, stakeholder responsibility and activities.
- Stakeholders: A contact list of all hands involved.
- Evaluation plan: Please explain how the GCC’s grant requirements are being met, who is monitoring the success of the grant, how the success is being measured and the end of event data to prove success.
- Budget: Outline budget requirements for this grant, Please provide as much detail as possible so we know how our money is being used.
