Medical Review Process

The Medical Content Team works to ensure the content published on this website is accurate and evidenced-based. The team is comprised of individuals with diverse perspectives and varied number of years in clinical practice, research, and patient advocacy. Our process begins by creating relevant content guided by the World Professional Association of Transgender Health (WPATH) Standards of Care in addition to our patients’ questions, concerns and aspirations. We rely on the consensus of these experts to provide current up-to-date information related to the care of transgender and gender diverse people. Prior to publication, the content is reviewed by our board-certified surgeons and healthcare providers to ensure that it is medically and clinically accurate. Published content is periodically reviewed to update or incorporate any changes to current recommendations. Our goal is to provide unbiased information that empowers individuals with tools to enhance their knowledge and make informed decisions about their own health.
