Jennifer starts by verifying whether your policy offers surgical transition benefits – this can be done even before you officially decide to move forward with surgery.
Once you’ve chosen Dr Mosser as your surgeon, the next step to gather all of the vital information from you and obtain authorization. While our Insurance Concierge does most of the “heavy lifting,” you and Jennifer are a team who speak regularly with each other during this process.
Once all appropriate documents are sent to the insurance company, there is a waiting period. Depending on your insurance, this can take 1-3 weeks or more. Jennifer will keep you updated with the day the insurance company received your information and a tentative date when you should expect a response.
You are welcome to call in anytime just to check the status; we understand this time can be stressful and are happy to touch base with you at any time.
We look forward to working with each and every one of Dr. Mosser’s wonderful patients! To start the process, fill out a request on the Contact Us page and we will take it from there!
