A Letter to My Patients from Dr. Lee Weber

Dear Future Patient,

Growing up, my parents taught me to listen to others, treat people the way I want to be treated, and have integrity. These values shape who I am, both personally and as a surgeon. What I love most about surgery is connecting with people and making meaningful differences in their lives. Every patient has their own story and hopes, and I believe the best outcomes begin with listening, building trust, and creating a plan together.

Caring for transgender patients during residency inspired me to pursue fellowship training in gender affirming care, where I trained alongside Dr. Justine Lee, an internationally renowned leader in the field. Her mentorship shaped my approach to both surgery and patient care.

Seeing my patients’ lives change when their external self aligns with their internal self is among the most rewarding experiences of my career, and it is the work I intend to pursue for the rest of it.

When I met the team at GCC, I recognized a shared commitment to thoughtful, individualized care. It felt like a natural fit, and I’m grateful to be part of it.

I know choosing a surgeon is an important and personal decision. When we have the opportunity to meet, my priority will be to understand what matters most to you and help you feel comfortable, informed, and confident in your care.
